Saint Valentine’s Day Музыка. Student 1: Love! Happiness! Affection! Romance! Today we can say these words because it is an unusual and special day- Saint Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day is a good time to think of others who are important to us- Moms and Dads, Grandparents, sisters and brothers, friends and classmates and our teachers, of course! It’s a nice time to tell them how much you like them and how you feel. Together: To each and every friend of mine I’ll send a lovely Valentine. Ведущие дарят друг другу «валентинки». Student 2: Ladies and gentlemen! Good evening! It’ s lovely to meet you here, at the Valentine’s party! Today you will get to know why this holiday is celebrated all over the world, there will be a short quiz and we’ll have some tea with delicious hand- made cakes! Student 1: Let me introduce our jury- they are winners of English Olympiads and best students from school #7!(все хлопают) Student 2: Our teams are from different schools of our region. Let me introduce them! The team from Razdolny! Its name is Cupid! Meet them! Applause, please! ( сами начинаете хлопать) Они по очереди представляются на английском языке. My name is… Вы задаете любому 1-2 вопросы типа: 1. Do you like this holiday? 2. Do you have a sweetheart? 3. What’s you hobby? 4. What’s your favourite school subject? 5. Do you like dancing? 6. Do you like surfing the Net? 7. What’s your favourite boy’s name? 8. What’s your favourite girl’s name? 9. What holidays do you like? 10. What’s your favourite film? The team from School # 1! Their name is Lace! Applause, please! (овации и вопросы) The team from School#8! It is called Heart! Applause, please! (овации и вопросы ) And the team of School #9! They are called Rose! Applause, please! (овации и вопросы ) Let’s start with a short warm-up! The teams which are ready to answer, raise your hands, please! Well, Question one for team Cupid. Student 1: What is the main symbol of Valentine’s Day? Student 2: Question two for team Lace! What are the best gifts on this day? Student 1: Question three for team Heart! What do people do on St.Valentine’s Day? Student 2: Question four for team Rose ! When do we celebrate St.Valentine’s Day? Student 1: St. Valentine’s Day is a holiday which is celebrated in Great Britain, the USA, and Day has roots in several legends. Student 2: So it’s time for the competition of "computer presentations The Story of Valentine’s Day! Student 1: While our teams are preparing for their legends and stories, let‘s listen to Denis Radovnya with his song "______________ ". Музыка.(Песня в исполнении Дениса Радовни) Команды представляют свои презентации об истории праздника. Student 1: Roses are red Violets are blue Your eyes are nice And I like you! Written Valentines began around 1400. The oldest one we know of dates from 1415. A Frenchman, Charles, Duke of Orleans, was captured by the English in a battle.He was put in prison in the Tower of London. There he wrote valentine poems. Many of them were saved and can be seen today in the British Museum. And now, one more contest! It is called " Valentine’s cards”! Student 2: Сan you fill in each gap with an adjective? Remember that the poems must rhyme! (члены жюри раздают командам заготовки для четверостиший на больших «валентинках») Student 1: Our guests can also participate and compose their own poems. Болельщики тоже получают задания, подписывают свои «валентинки», зачитывают вслух, затем сдают жюри. Команды показывают свои плакаты и по очереди зачитывают свои стихи, сдают жюри. The ornaments that decorate valentines are symbols of love and friendship. What do different symbols mean? Each team has got the name of a certain symbol. What does this symbol mean? This contest is for the captains of teams. Please, meet the captains of each team! What does "Rose” mean? What does "Cupid” mean? What does "Lace” mean? What does "Heart” mean? (конкурс на знание символов) Student 2: Sometimes you are very sweet I hope you brought nice cookies to eat. Student 1: Yes, you’re right! But it was not me! Our participants have cooked something very delicious! What are the names of your cakes? (команды говорят названия своих кондитерских изделий и предлагают жюри попробовать их) Student 2: Isn’t it time to listen to some music, watch the concert and just relax? (включаем музыку, команды готовятся к исполнению своих номеров или Марина исполняет танец) Student 1: While our jury is preparing to tell us about the results of our competition, we would like the teams to exchange with the gifts of sympathy. ( команды дарят друг другу подарки и объясняют почему, на английском языке), Лингвистический центр тоже поздравляет всех. Жюри подводит итоги, награждает лучших игроков, приглашает всех к чаепитию. | |
